Construction and Civil Engineering IoT Concrete Curing Monitoring System
Quality control support system for enhancing the durability of concrete.
■Quality management support system to enhance the durability of concrete through appropriate temperature and humidity management in curing spaces■ This system continuously measures the temperature inside the concrete, the temperature and humidity within the curing mat (on the concrete surface), and the temperature and humidity of the outside air for 24 hours. It activates an alarm light and can send email notifications when thresholds are exceeded. By adding functionality to control mist sprayers and heaters triggered by the acquired temperature and humidity data, it is possible to automate and reduce manpower in field operations. ■Measurement data utilized for non-destructive testing methods to estimate concrete strength■ In addition to compressive strength testing of concrete core specimens, there is a non-destructive strength estimation method called the "Maturity Method," which measures the internal temperature of concrete as it sets and estimates the compressive strength from the accumulated temperature. Accumulated temperature is expressed as the product of curing time and curing temperature, and maturity refers to the relationship between accumulated temperature and concrete compressive strength. The data measured by this system can be used to calculate concrete compressive strength using the Maturity Method.
